Where these numbers come from
The batch-size minimum comes from Colorado MED Rule 4-225(F)(4)(c), which sets how many sample increments to collect for a test batch. Flower, trim and shake use 0.5 g increments. Concentrates use 0.25 g increments.
The per-test amounts come from the Agriscience Labs Cannabis Sample Sizes sheet. Each selected test uses its own portion, so the amounts add up. Terpenes are for R&D samples only. R&D samples need to meet only the lab's own amounts, not the state minimum.
The amount to submit is the larger of the two. The redline version of Rule 4-225(F) also lets a testing facility require more than the state minimum when it needs more to run the tests. For cartridges, the batch-size minimum is converted to whole 0.5 g cartridges, and never fewer than two. For infused products, an increment is one serving, and the state table sets the minimum number of finished packages by batch servings and servings per package.
